Gifted Minds International School Library:

Welcome to the library at Gifted Minds International School, where books come to life and young minds flourish. Our library is more than just a collection of shelves; it’s a hub of exploration, imagination, and discovery.

In this welcoming haven of knowledge, students embody the qualities of the IB Learner Profiles. As inquirers, they eagerly navigate the shelves, searching for answers to their curious questions. The library encourages them to be knowledgeable, offering a rich tapestry of literature that spans genres, cultures, and perspectives. Our young readers become thinkers, reflecting on the stories they encounter and connecting them to their own experiences. In the library, students become risk-takers as they venture into new genres, authors, and topics, expanding their horizons.

In the school library learners can find books and materials in a variety of formats, genres, and reading levels.  The books in the library are organized into nine categories including storybooks (fiction), reading books, chapter books (fiction), non-fiction, Dutch, French, Ukrainian, additional languages, and teacher resources. Other non-book resources include magazines, newspapers, ebooks, and maps.

Students have their own library cards which allows them to check out books and materials to bring home. Every library lesson they return and check out more books for reading for enjoyment or related to the grade leveled central ideas.
